Fabulous late 1930s two-piece ensemble crafted in fluid black rayon with an elegant, body-skimming silhouette that hugs and moves beautifully on the figure. The blouse is especially special, featuring distinctive shirred rayon knit detailing at the shoulders and collar, creating a subtle sculptural effect that feels very fashion-forward for the late 1930s. The neckline sits high but relaxed and flattering Art Deco–influenced seam-work shapes the bodice. The back of the blouse fastens with a full run of covered buttons and loops.
The coordinating skirt is cut slim through the hips with vertical seamwork that opens into a softly flared hem, creating beautiful movement and an elegant late-1930s line.
The black rayon belt dates to the 1930s and is not original to the set, but is a true vintage, period-appropriate addition. Crafted in a soft jersey-like rayon and detailed with linked rows of faceted glass stones, it adds Deco-era sparkle. Please note: there is a slight variation in tone between the belt and ensemble.

Condition: Very good overall. The back right sleeve shows areas of sun-related fading, resulting in gentle tonal variation to the black rayon. A small number of the original fabric-covered buttons (five total) show visible wear to the fabric covering, and there is a tiny vertical slit at the back of the blouse. The skirt is clean and well preserved; at the waistband, small areas of light-colored original stitching are visible along the top edge. Minor missing stitches at the waist seam have been discreetly stabilized. All issues are cosmetic, age-related details consistent with period wear and do not affect structure or wearability.
Enjoy!
