Vintage 1940s Straw Tilt Brim Hat with Black Grosgrain Ribbon Bow | My Hat's a Michele

Chic late 1940s straw hat trimmed with wide black grosgrain ribbon around the crown. Rows of straw braid overlay the ribbon, creating the appearance of five distinct ribbon bands encircling the crown. It has a wonderful Edwardian-inspired look, though the hat itself dates to the late 1940s. An interior grosgrain band encircles the crown and the hat has two labels and a size 22 tag.

• Crown height: Approx. 5"
• Brim width: 2 3/4" at widest; 1 1/2" at narrowest

Condition: Near Excellent! Minor age-related wear to the black grosgrain ribbon, including a few faint surface marks. Two small gaps between the straw braid rows at the brim edge, visible from the underside when looking closely. Not noticeable when worn.
