Vintage 1930s Purple & Gold Floral Silk Lamé Evening Dress, Medium

Exquisite vintage 1930s evening dress made of a lightweight, fluid silk lamé with metallic gold threads woven throughout a beautiful floral pattern in lavender-purple, pale yellow and gold with subtle hints of pale green. The gown features floral rosettes at the shoulders and neckline, a deep low V-back, soft gathers at the sides of waist, scalloped seaming at low hip and a paneled bias-cut skirt with a cascading asymmetrical high-low hem. Hidden snap bra closures at interior shoulders. The interior is partially lined in very fine silk chiffon. No closures - you'll need to be able to pull on over your head.

Condition: Very Good!
Underarms have darkened perspiration stains. (I recommend adding cotton underarm shields). There are openings along both side seams of the sheer chiffon insert beneath the upper front skirt panel, where the chiffon has separated from the lamé fabric (see last two pics). This is concealed beneath the outer skirt panel when worn.
