Vintage 1930s Midnight Blue Silk Velvet Bias Cut Dress & Wide Brim Cloche Hat, S - S/M

Striking vintage 1930s dark midnight blue silk velvet bias cut dress featuring a V neckline with gold lamé-lined turnover lapels, ornamental rhinestone balls accenting the bust and split sleeves (also lined in gold lamé), a matching velvet belt with an Art Deco rhinestone-studded clasp, and an ankle-length seamed bias cut skirt. Snap closures at the left side waist. You'll need to be able to pull the dress on over your head.

The dress is paired with a beautiful midnight blue silk velvet wide-brim cloche hat labeled "Russeks Design Studio, New York," featuring ruched detailing at the sides and a silk lining. The velvet color closely matches the dress, although I am unsure whether the two were originally sold together.
