Vintage 1920s 30s Hand Embroidered Silk Crepe Fringe Piano Shawl

Exceptional oversized 1920s–1930s black silk crepe shawl with extensive hand-worked silk floss embroidery. Features large shaded roses, smaller stylized flowers and foliage embroidered in muted shades of champagne, gold, peach, coral, pink and green. The embroidery covers much of the shawl, with a large floral arrangement across the center back.

Finished on all four sides with long black knotted fringe.

Measurements:
Shawl: 50" x 50"
Fringe: approx. 16" long
Overall including fringe: approx. 82" x 82"

Condition: Very Good! Very minor age-related wear to the embroidery, including occasional loose or missing stitches and a few small areas of discoloration. A few faint dust spots to the black silk ground and one tiny hole, as shown. Fringe has some scattered tangling. Presents beautifully.
