Rare Vintage Late 1920s Lavender Silk Georgette Lace Dress 3 Piece Set with Velvet Evening Coat

Rare late 1920s three-piece evening ensemble in shades of lavender purple. The set includes a silk georgette dress, matching georgette bolero and long silk velvet evening coat.

The sleeveless dress features a wide scoop neckline with a sheer floral lace yoke, center-front ruching through the bodice and dropped waist, a softly flared asymmetrical skirt and a deep matching lace hem. No closures - you'll need to be able to pull on over your head.

The sheer silk georgette bolero has long sleeves finished with flared floral lace cuffs and extended front ties.

The long purple silk velvet evening coat has an open front with contrasting silk crepe facings and wide cuffs. A long silk crepe scarf extends from the neckline and is gathered beneath a velvet tab at the left side. The jacket is lined in ivory silk.

Condition: Good! The dress has underarm discoloration, one small spot at the center-front ruching and additional faint scattered discoloration, including a faint area alongside the right side ruching and a subtle area below FL skirt seam. A darn to lace at back skirt hem. The bolero has visible brown underarm staining, more pronounced on one side. The silk velvet coat has scattered gray marks to the silk crepe cuffs and several areas of yellow-brown discoloration to the back, most noticeable at the right shoulder seam, with fainter marks near the lower back and hem. The velvet also shows light variation and compression to the pile. 

Structurally, all three pieces remain wearable with care and the complete set presents beautifully.
