Rare 1920s Chinese Export Hand Embroidered Silk Evening Coat with Birds & Flowers

Incredible vintage 1920s Chinese export evening coat made of vivid cobalt blue silk. The front panels are densely hand embroidered in multicolored silk thread, with hardly any of the silk ground left undecorated. Large chrysanthemums and other flowers are interspersed with leafy branches and colorful exotic birds. The back and sleeves are also richly embroidered, though the exceptionally dense embroidery across the front is absolutely striking!

Condition: Excellent! One original connecting thread at the front right notched lapel is broken (see last pic collage).
