Late 1930s Chocolate Brown Rayon Crepe Dress with Sculpted Shoulders & Bell-Pull Metal Zip, XS-S

Fantastic late 1930s rayon crepe dress in a rich, saturated chocolate brown with beautifully tailored lines and striking silk trim accents. The rayon crepe has that classic late-1930s drape with subtle weight, fluid yet substantial, allowing the dress to skim the body while maintaining crisp structure through the bodice and hips.

The silhouette is sleek and elongated, defined by a belted waist and softly sculpted shoulders. The shoulders, standing top collar, and hem are all finished with layered dark brown silk trim arranged in tiered bands. The silk trim reads almost architectural against the matte crepe, giving the dress depth without excess ornamentation.

The dress closes down the front with its original metal zipper, complete with a wonderful bell-shaped pull. Long fitted sleeves and subtle shaping seams through the bodice further emphasize the streamlined, tailored look characteristic of pre-war design.
