Antique Late 1910s–1920s White Embroidered Organdy Summer Dress, 2-Piece, XS 25" Waist

Ethereal antique late 1910s to very early 1920s two-piece summer dress set, crafted in fine sheer white cotton and beautifully embroidered organdy. This delicate ensemble features a soft blouson-style cotton bodice adorned with dainty daisy and bow floral embroidery, trimmed with gentle ruffles for a light, feminine finish. The coordinating skirt is made entirely of organdy (possibly silk organza), finished with a scalloped hem and matching embroidery positioned above each scallop.

A separate fine cotton underskirt creates a lovely tiered effect and adds subtle structure beneath the sheer organdy layer. The dress fastens at the left side waist with a single hook and eye, along with a snap below the waist at the left side skirt opening. The underskirt closes at the back waistband with two hook and eye closures.

An especially graceful and wearable example of late Edwardian / early 1920s white summer dressmaking.

Important fit note: while the underarm measures generously when laid flat, the nipped 25" waist combined with limited closures means your actual bust measurement must be notably smaller to comfortably get the dress on. This set works best on a small bust; for reference, I measure approximately 31 1/2" at the bust (last pic modeled).

Length: 29" (front hem), approximately 30" (back hem)

Condition: Very Good. Freshly cleaned and wearable. A handful of very small holes are present to over dress, along with faint spots at each organdy inset at the shoulders.
Some holes are present at the back of the skirt, along with faint discoloration spots at the waistband.

Please note: this dress was carefully spot treated and hand washed. It previously had yellow staining throughout, which has now been fully eliminated with the exception of two faint shoulder spots and minor waistband spotting on the skirt.
