Antique Edwardian Gibson Girl Whitework Cotton Linen Dress Set with Lace and Embroidery

Beautiful antique Edwardian two-piece slubbed cotton linen dress set featuring padded stitch floral embroidery, eyelet detailing, insertion lace, pintucks, and cutwork accents throughout. Simply stunning, the whitework design on both the skirt and blouse works beautifully together while also making lovely separates.

The blouse features a mid-length lace collar, rows of pintucks, floral eyelet embroidery, abundant insertion lace, and leafy tendril embroidery throughout. The coordinating skirt is designed with pintuck seams extending from the waistband and a sweeping hem richly embellished with whitework embroidery, eyelets, and insertion lace.

The blouse closes down the center back with two hook-and-eye closures at the lace collar and buttons extending to the waistline. The skirt closes with hook-and-eye closures.

For reference: model is 5'2" with a 31.5" bust, 25.5" waist and 37" hip. The set fit very well!

Condition: Near Excellent! Hemline of skirt has a handful of spots, one area with very minor wear. Three of the back bodice buttons are misshapen / not original? 3 tiny specks to bodice.
