Antique Edwardian c.1900 Pastel Raffia Toque Hat with Moss Green Tulle, Velvet Bow & Victorian Lady Cameo

Exceptional antique turn-of-the-century toque hat dating to approximately 1900–1905. Constructed from woven raffia straw in soft pastel pink, sage, and brown tones, the hat is dramatically adorned with an oversized black velvet bow and a portrait medallion depicting an 18th-century lady. The crown is covered in moss-green silk tulle with under wiring for structure. The crown is further accented with delicate botanical sprigs arranged around the base. Labeled "Jackson, Importer, Venetian Building, Chicago."

As you can see in the photos, the interior crown has a fine silk lining where the label sits. This silk is shattering and hanging on at one small area.

Interior Crown: Approx. 20" circumference
Height: Approx. 13"

Condition: Good! Interior silk lining is shattered and fragile but remains just barely attached with the original label. There is a small area at the back where one layer of the moss green silk tulle covering is missing, though the underlying layer remains intact. Presents beautifully overall. See images.
