Antique Early 1920s Beaded Sautoir Necklace with Scarab / Beetle Motif

Antique early 1920s beaded sautoir necklace, richly worked in iridescent blue, teal, gold and black glass beads. The long strands frame a striking central beaded medallion depicting a stylized beetle or scarab motif, flanked by faceted black glass drops and finished with beaded fringe. A bold, graphic Jazz Age accessory with subtle Egyptian Revival influence.

Condition: Very Good! Beads are secure. There are visible threads/stitches at left extension before faceted bead. 1 loose thread.
