Antique c. 1895–1905 Purple Silk Chiffon Toque Hat with Silk Petal Appliqué & Fabric Flowers

Beautiful antique turn-of-the-century toque hat, spanning the late Victorian and early Edwardian eras! Made of deep purple silk chiffon featuring intricate shirred detailing, dimensional silk petal appliqué, fabric flowers in softly faded blush and ivory tones, and a delicate feather spray. Fine sheer silk interior lining with a silk ribbon tie - you can see the interior purple wire that keeps the hat's structure in tact. 

Designed as a perched style - would have been secured with hatpins.

• Interior circumference: 19"
• Overall height: 11 3/8"

Condition: Extremely good! Three minor tears to chiffon inner edging. Fine sheer silk lining is very fragile with some wear/tear. Presents beautifully!
