Antique 1920s Burnout Velvet Flapper Dress with Silk Flower Detail, Medium

Antique 1920s flapper dress crafted in rich brown burnout velvet with an allover floral and foliate pattern. The sheer ground between the velvet motifs gives the fabric a light, slightly translucent appearance. Cut in a relaxed, straight silhouette with short sleeves and an easy pull-on fit. Often popularly referred to as the “Roaring Twenties,” this is an authentic Jazz Age garment from the 1920s, not a later reproduction or costume piece.

Finished with a vivid orange silk flower pom detail at the hip for a bold pop of color. The skirt falls into a softly flared olive brown velvet panel, adding weight and movement while remaining very wearable. The dress includes a partially attached brown silk under slip with silk ribbon straps. No closures.
