Antique 1920s Black Sheer Cherry Blossom Beaded Flapper Dress

Amazing antique 1920s sheer black silk flapper dress with a wonderful Asian-inspired aesthetic! Red beaded cherry blossom motifs amidst silver leafy tendrils are beautifully arranged throughout the dress. Thick horizontal bands of silver bugle beads encircle the dropped waist and skirt, with a matching beaded band trimming the neckline. Non-functional black silk buttons accent each side of the dropped waist band, adding to the dress's Chinoiserie influence. No closures — you'll need to be able to pull on over your head.

Condition: Good to Very Good! Scattered white powdery residue/specks to front bust, more noticeable against black dress form (pic 7). White spotting to front skirt (pic 8) and back skirt (pics 9–11). Spots appear to be on the surface of the silk. Light underarm ring on right side. All loose threads have been tied and secured. Minor bead loss and two very minor snags to silk.
