Ethereal antique 1910s Edwardian tiered white net and lace dress, a truly romantic piece that would make a beautiful antique bridal gown or heirloom wedding dress. Crafted from layers of delicate net and lace, this dress exemplifies the light, airy elegance of the late Edwardian period.
The bodice is thoughtfully constructed with a double-layered design: an inner scoop neckline is overlaid with a split-front outer layer that creates a subtle peek-a-boo effect. Delicate lace insets accent the front bodice and continue across much of the back bodice, as well as along the wide-set three-quarter-length sleeve hems. A softly gathered cream silk cummerbund encircles the waist, finished with a large fabric flower and trailing silk ribbon extensions. The cummerbund snaps into place along the waistline (allowing for slight adjustment) and fastens with hook-and-eye closures. An interior petersham waistband with hook-and-eye closures provides additional structure and support.
The ankle-length skirt is especially lovely, featuring shortened side panels with inset lace trim and a dramatic six-tiered net construction that creates beautiful movement and volume. The skirt is lined with an additional net layer for coverage. Both the skirt and bodice fasten along the left side with snap closures, extending up the bodice for ease of dressing.
