Amazing antique Edwardian two-piece dress set dating to the 1900s, crafted in lightweight printed sheer cotton. The soft, faded brown print resembles falling leaves or delicate bird wings, giving this ensemble an especially romantic presence. A beautiful and wearable early 20th-century skirt and tunic blouse set that moves gracefully and layers with wonderful effect.
The ankle-length skirt is designed with three tiers and a softly nipped high waist, fastening at center back with a single hook and eye closure. The coordinating tunic blouse is styled with ruched shoulders and sleeves and finished with three-quarter-length pleated hems with wide, flowing openings. Gathered double ruffles frame the neckline and extend down the center front to the waist, adding texture and detail.
The tunic closes at the neckline with a hook and eye, followed by seven small round mother-of-pearl shank buttons and five flat mother-of-pearl buttons. Additional hook and eye closures secure the nipped waistband, with two hook-and-loop closures continuing down the center of the tunic skirt portion. When worn together, the tunic creates the appearance of an added fourth tier to the ensemble—an especially delightful Edwardian design detail.

Tunic Blouse: five antique replacement buttons. Four seamed darning repairs at the upper left neckline just below the ruffled trim; these are very inconspicuous due to the gathered construction. Sleeve pleating shows some flattening in areas. Minor green tint is present at the top hook and eye closures.
All noted issues are minor and do not detract from the overall presentation of this beautiful Edwardian set. Please email prior to purchase for additional photos or questions.
