Gorgeous antique 1900s Edwardian sheer cotton and net picnic dress in a soft creamy ivory hue, featuring fabulous bell sleeves. The lightweight cotton is woven with a raised dotted pattern that creates subtle horizontal striping, adding texture and visual interest while maintaining an airy, summery feel.
The bodice is styled with a lace-trimmed winged front collar that flares into a graceful semi-circle at the back, a lovely period detail. A double-layered net inset at the center bust is accented with decorative, non-functional button details on the outer layer. The silhouette is softly bloused through the bodice before nipping in at the waist, creating that effortless Edwardian line. A partially attached sash accents the waist, while an interior grosgrain waistband provides additional structure and support.
The ankle-length skirt falls fluidly from the waist and offers generous ease through the hip. The dress fastens with snap closures along the net under-bust, across the left side of the bust, and along the left side waist extending partially into the skirt, allowing for ease of dressing while maintaining a clean exterior line.
