Antique 1900s Edwardian Floral Print Dress with Green Silk Trim & Matching Reticule Purse, XS

Enchanting antique Edwardian circa 1900 embossed floral silk and mixed lace tiered dress with a matching reticule purse, both trimmed in rich emerald green silk ribbon. The dress is styled with a softly V’d front neckline and a ruffled standing back collar, piped with wire for shape and structure.

The bodice is constructed in three layers: an interior net lace foundation featuring scalloped filet lace across the bust, closing down the front with hook-and-eye fasteners; a second layer of fine dotted net embellished with small silk ribbon bows and two hook-and-loop closures; and an outer printed silk layer trimmed in wide swaths of emerald green silk, finished with a center bow accent at both the front and back. Sheer long dotted-net sleeves are ruched toward the cuffs and accented with additional emerald silk ribbon bows and rolled hems, with a short interior lace petal sleeve beneath.

The skirt is triple-tiered, gathered, and trimmed in green silk, with the two lower tiers constructed of three-quarter net. The dress closes along the left side skirt and across the front left waist and retains its interior corselet waistband with hook-and-eye closures.

A matching embossed printed silk reticule purse completes the ensemble, featuring piped emerald green silk curlicue detailing and trim. The purse is fully lined in silk.

Condition: Good! Antique silk ribbon was used to the waist trim & parts of shoulder trim. Other areas of emerald silk have wear so these areas should be handled with care.
