Ravishing antique late 1890s to early 1900s turn of the century Victorian bodice in dark black fine wool with blood red silk taffeta and net lace! I get total gothic vampire vibes from her and she also looks fantastic paired with modern jeans. She's styled with a crew neck, however, she does have a separate banded collar that has hook/eye closures if you wanted to go with a more dramatic effect. The upper yoke is made of red silk taffeta that is covered in black net with square designs. Ruffled black silk taffeta followed by a layer of red silk taffeta flare out from the yoke. The center waist has tight gathers creating a more fitted blouson effect and a black silk taffeta waistband encircles the hem with a bow accent that hooks into place on the left hand side. Her fitted long sleeves have black silk taffeta hems that are red on the underside - they easily flip up and I like showing off some more of the red! Interior is lined with glazed cotton and has hook/eyes down center. All interior seams are boned and the back interior bodice has two hooks that would have originally hooked onto a matching skirt - unfortunately the skirt is no longer with the bodice.
