Antique Victorian purple velvet and scalloped lace neck collar / collarette believed to be circa 1890s. She's striking in a gorgeous deep shade of purple with beige hued lace. She's designed with a round standing collar of gabardine, with inner coarse buckram for structural shape, accented with lace trim velvet collar wings. The bodice of the velvet collarette has a flared petal shape with piping between each velvet petal ending in pointed scallops of embroidered eyelet net lace. The collarette closes with 3 hook/eyes at back collar and 5 additional hook/eyes extending down a portion of the velvet.
