Victorian Neck Ruffle Lappet Collar, 1880s 1890s Black Silk Mourning Scarf Collar

Antique 1880s - 1890s Victorian black silk ruffled neck collar / lappet scarf! Made of layers of ruffled and pleated sheer silk. The collar has four gathered and ruffled layers around the neckline with two eye/hook closure. Sweeping scarf-like projections sweep across the upper bust in knife pleats with dramatic ruffle trim extensions. The 7th picture shows it with a Victorian cape - not included in sale - that I currently have listed.

Length: 32" to longest hem

Condition: Fair / As-Is condition / Can be worn with care
Some fade and light brown tinting to black. Some long tears to silk extensions and a couple delicate areas.

Still presents beautifully - the tears get lost unless you are spreading to examine.
