Absolutely stunning antique 1890s Victorian 2pc wedding dress set with dramatic leg of mutton sleeves! Made of creamy ivory silk and ribbed silk ribbon bows, I was pleasantly surprised that the silk has been so well preserved for all this time. The bodice is styled with a high neckline with a side silk ribbon bow accent, fabulous gathered leg of mutton sleeves with sleek tapered hems, criss-cross front design, flattering fitted back with center seams culminating with a silk ribbon bow accent. The bodice is fully lined with cotton and has an inner cotton waistband with 2 snap closures. Exposed steal boning at far left inner seam, center back seam is boned and the other seams are either not boned or have just the end remnants. The bodice closes with a center cotton inset of 11 hook/eyes and the right side bodice wraps around to the left closing with 8 hook/eyes. Two hook and loop closures at left shoulder & neckline. A few hook/eyes remain at inner waist in order to hook onto the skirt portion.
The sweeping paneled floor length skirt is styled with back gathers creating a lovely wavy texture. The skirt is fully lined with cotton linen with a hem protector and has inner bustle tape connecting the upper back panels. One hook eye closure at center back with some hook/eye closures to close onto the bodice with.

As the silk was strong, I gently hand washed the skirt as there were yellow stains along the hemline. The yellowing remains, however, it is much fainter and much less noticeable. Other than that, 3 minor spots and very minor pricks / tear at eye of waistband.
*Please note: I do have a video of the skirt to show the hem staining. To view the video, click this link: https://youtu.be/yQsNaG_gRic
Bodice Condition: Good+ / Structurally Very Good / Wear with Care
Small hole to bodice (top left of 9th pic) and under left underarm. A couple minor spots. Inner cotton has some staining that's not visible on outside. Neckline alteration with added printed cotton tab mainly concealed by silk ribbon bow.
Truly a remarkable authentic Victorian wedding gown from the 1890s in amazing condition for it's age! I've shown the bodice with the shoulders stuffed in order to show what it would've looked like when it was worn.
Enjoy!
