1900s Cranberry Red Edwardian Walking Suit Dress, Antique Wool & Silk Gibson Girl Dress, XS

Amazing 1900s cranberry red wool tweed walking suit trimmed in cranberry red silk soutache braid and gathered solid red silk. This two piece antique Edwardian dress set has major Gibson Girl vibes with the pouched front bodice jacket with a fantastic peek-a-boo design and the sweeping asymmetrical floor length skirt.

Her bodice jacket is styled with a fitted collar neckline trimmed in silk, gathered creamy beige silk with interwoven stripe designs that makes up the pigeon breast blouson bodice. Overtop is the dramatic shawl collar trimmed in the same beige silk with the soutache and gathered silk trim. This overlay collar has one hook/loop at center creating such a fun peek-a-boo affect. The long sleeves have the best dramatic pointed hems with the beige silk lining underneath - so you could flip the sleeve hems to show that beige silk. Underneath the silk blouson portion is a glazed cotton under bust with hook and eye closures down the center. The glazed cotton is fully boned at ever interior seam.

The 5 paneled skirt has a large center back tuck pleat for a lovely flowing silhouette. The lining is perfection - a fabulous printed glazed cotton featuring stripes in vibrant shades of pink along with geometrical squares in whitish pink that pop against the solid black. Two hook/eye closures at back waistband and a hook/eye partially down top of skirt. There's also a modern eye at back left waistband but there's not a corresponding hook to interior bodice. If you'd like for me to remove this, just let me know.

Skirt: 5 tiny holes. Wear spot at front hem. The faintest 'water?' ring on front skirt just up from hem (9th pic collage shows these). You have to be closely examining to even see this.
Bodice Jacket: Some wear to gathered silk trim (last pic collage shows most notable).
