Antique 1850s Victorian printed cotton day dress / chore dress in brown tones with a watered pattern amidst the striped plaid checks. Styled with a fitted collar neckline, piped drop shoulders and seamed back, high 2 1/4" wide waist band that starts 5" below underarm, hook/eye closures down front bodice extending to right side of waistband and a gathered full skirt. The bodice is fully lined in muslin and the sleeves have their own calico cotton lining. The skirt portion is unlined.

Condition: Overall Good to Very Good / Especially for over 170 years old!
Skirt has 8" long vertical tear on BL side near hem. A few other wear areas to skirt (most notable shown). Some wear/tear and lightened fabric near/at sleeve hems. Minor fabric breakaway at FR sleeve seam. Calico sleeve lining has a couple tears and an additional interior patch at hem. Tarnish to 3 original hook/eyes and the hook/eyes at waistband and along waistline are modern replacements.
