Late 1890s 1900s Dress, Antique Victorian Edwardian Polka Dot Bishop Sleeve Bodice and Skirt Set, Gibson Girl Dress

Fantastic antique Victorian Edwardian silk polka dot 2pc dress set circa late 1890s early 1900s. The bodice is styled with a lace trim high collar neckline embellished down the center front and back with green velvet bows. Pintuck seams accent the upper shoulders / yoke with long puffed bishop sleeves also trimmed in lace featuring the velvet bows at the tapered hems. The outer silk features the pouched pigeon breast / Gibson Girl 'S' bend silhouette on a fitted blue cotton under lining that extends from the fitted waistband. A matching green velvet trimmed polka dot waistband nips the waistline, closing with 3 hook/eyes. The bodice closes up the center interior cotton lining the back with hook/eyes and additional hook/loops on the outer silk. The silk skirt is pleated on the front and back sides creating a nice wide sweep. The skirt closes with two hook/eyes at the waistband.
