Stunning antique Victorian era woven wool paisley shawl in the most gorgeous color palette including lavender, dark sky blue, marigold, fern green and burgundy with a rare cream center! The cream center is surrounded by gorgeous ornamental paisley designs. Two edges have colorful fringe borders.

Paisley shawls originated in Kashmir, India and rose in popularity within Europe in the mid 1800s due to the tastes of Queen Victoria. Intricate craftsmanship and design was employed in this vivid shawl.

Truly a special piece of Victorian textile art that can be worn or displayed.

Fringe: Approx. 3.5"

Condition: Good!
Cream center has some yellowing and some thin weak spots. Tear near edge and a handful of small holes (not noticeable - only found when holding up and looking from underside).
