1890s Victorian Leg of Mutton Sleeve Bodice, Antique Heavily Ruched Black Victorian Blouse, XXS

Amazing authentic antique 1890s Victorian black bodice with incredibly dramatic leg of mutton sleeves! She's made of a luxurious silk wool blend - not scratchy at all with lots of structural stability. She's literally a ruched goddess with strips of velvet in-between each ruched section. She's styled with a collared neckline with a partially attached gathered band that encircles around the back ending in a ruched bow accent. The top edge of shoulder / sleeves are tightly smocked which creates the massive volume of the leg-o-mutton / gigot sleeves. The front and back ruched sections culminate into ruched bow accents at the center hems. Fully lined with glazed cotton and fully boned. Three hooks are stitched below the interior back bones which would have originally hooked onto a matching skirt. Recently de-accessed from the Fire Museum in Hinckley, MN.

Please note: the gathered collar band that wraps around to the backside does nothing have a back closure - I’ve just wrapped it around in the pics. A safety pin or snap can easily be added to keep in place.

*For reference model has a 31.5" bust and 25.5" waist. I couldn't get the 2 hooks closed above bottom hook. 24" max waist will work.

Condition: Near Excellent!
A handful of small holes - doesn't take away structural integrity. Interior cotton lining at left underarm area has tearing.
