Antique 1900s Taupe Silk Mixed Lace Edwardian Gibson Girl Dress Set Blouse and Skirt, XS

Antique 1900s dress set including a mixed lace silk Gibson Girl blouse and skirt in a gorgeous shade of taupe. The Edwardian blouse is styled with a pouter pigeon silhouette with a collared neckline of creamy beige embroidered net lace trimmed with machine made floral Schiffli lace. Layered tuck pleats extend from the shoulders to the waistline and the 2/3 length tiered sleeves are designed with a shorter tier trimmed in Schiffli lace and a longer inner tier trimmed with the embroidered net lace. The nipped waist has a defined waistband and a short peplum extends in order to easily tuck into the skirt.

The skirt is designed with tuck seam pleats giving it such a lovely shape. It's sweeping floor length has a slightly elongated backside and the hem is accented with two large horizontal flaps. The skirt closes with hooks/eyes down center waistband (5 are replacement hooks/1 replacement eye).
